Tunisia is a North African country bordering the Mediterranean Sea in the North and East. Currently approximately ten million people live in the country, which is about twice as large as Austria. After centuries of foreign value, Tunisia was a sovereign State in 1956.

The tourist centres with Hammamet, Nabeul, Sousse, Monastir and Djerba in the South of the country are today. Anywhere there is an excellent infrastructure and snow-white beaches with a deep blue sea invite to all kinds of water sports. But also in the nearby Sahara are very worthwhile. A further highlight in Tunisia is certainly also the visit of El Djem in the Centre of the country. With 35,000 seats, it was the second largest amphitheatre of ancient times to the Coliseum. Today, concerts are held here.
